Oct 13, 2015 IPS Officer Thakur's residence raided: "The Vigilance Department on Tuesday (October 13) conducted searches at the Gomti Nagar residence of suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur. The raids come two days after Thakur lodged a complaint at city's Vibhuti Khand police station, seeking registration of a case against UP Vigilance Establishment Director Bhanu Pratap Singh and others for alleged misrepresentation of facts in the Vigilance inquiry report against Thakur. Thakur was suspended after he lodged a police complaint against Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav, accusing him of threatening the IPS on phone. He has been attached to the Director General of Police (DGP) headquarters ever since."

Aug 1, 2015 Cops suspended for thrashing farmer: "Two policemen were on Saturday (August 1) suspended for thrashing a farmer in Beed district of Marathwada, while the latter was in a queue to pay crop insurance premium. The two police constables have been suspended and an inquiry ordered into the incident, Superintendent of Police, Beed, Anil Paraskar said today, a day after the incident. The video of the cops thrashing the farmer with cane and kicks went viral on social media and was telecast by local TV channels. The farmer, Manohar Ashruba Gandhle, owner of five acre farm land, had come to the rural bank at Talwada in Gevrai tehsil. What apparently triggered the police action was that he had stepped out of the long queue at the bank, and was involved in a verbal exchange with some others in the queue."

Jul 30, 2015 Delhi Univ admission racket busted: "Delhi Police Crime Branch busted a massive racket facilitating fake admissions in top Delhi University colleges on Thursday (July 30). Four including a college student have been arrested while some college officials are under the scanner. Joint CP Crime Ravindra Yadav confirmed the arrests. "A team led by ACP KPS Malhotra carried out the operation. Raids are continuing. We will share information soon, Yadav said. Crime branch had received a tipoff about the suspects and the racket after which it deployed sources at colleges. On Wednesday night, teams laid traps and nabbed the accused including a second year student. They are being interrogated to unveil the racket."
