Vandana Vadhera, a Mumbai-based singer said in her complaint that while returning from the airport, the cab she was travelling in was stopped by the constable at a check point. Vadhera who is a resident of Aarey Colony in Goregaon East, said that the constable questioned the cab driver and later asked her for her identity card. Thereafter, the constable began abusing her. He is now facing a vigilance probe. The DSP told reporters that the head constable and his wife tortured Sabah, which is not her real name, and slammed her head against the wall. They inflicted burns using a red-hot needle.
