corruption in india

After reading the newspaper today i realized that it has becum almost a routine reflex for me to anticipate a news of financial scams comming everyday.i radr believe scams reinstate d image of INDIA as a country which believes in "unity in diversity"..luk people 4m differn places accross d globe unite for 1 common cause:CORRUPTION. IN 2G: We had a DALIT telecom minister from SOUTH INDIA conspiring wid d HOWARD graduate finance minister to give telecom licenses to a DUBAI based telco Atai Salad which has connections with PAKISTANI ISI and whose Indias MD Shahid balwa has contacts wid Dawood Ebrahim. They gave d license 2 a company like Telenor which is a NORWAY based telco and which buys equipments from CHINESE millitary.Allowin dat in india puts us at cyber warfare wid china. They ignored all dat was mentioned in d internal home ministry report under Mr. Shivraj Patil and gave licenses 2 all dese companies potentially jeopardising national security, all under d guidence of an ITALIAN Godmother and aptly supported by the silence of our incapacitated Puppet PUNJABI PRIM MINISTER.Sad but true. Karunanidhi said dat A. Raja z being targeted becoz hes a DALIT.I m afraid i disagree wid u sir,i think A Raja became d cabinet MINISTER becoz hes a DALIT. Gud strategy anywaz :"der r sum things in life which mioney cant buy,for others theres MINORITY card". AS the 2014 by elections approach lets hope der will be a significant drop in dese scams atleast momentarily, for d patence of we d middle class is now at at end..as of now i pray in d wak of dese persisting circumstances,GOD let our country awake....

Sadly, two very well known corrupt persons fled Australia recently and are owing over A.U$100 million. Yes, they are Pankaj and Radhika Oswal. They are hiding away some place in the hope that the Australian Tax Department will never find them ! Pankaj had described himself a creator ! A creator of unpaid debts in foreign countries ! And untold bad gas from his behind too. They are dancing and shaking around safely underground, hidden from creditors. Maybe with all their clothes off as well !

CORRUPTION OF INDIA

India is a big contry. But why coruption is not corrected.Think yourself it's not a small issue around india this is the biggest break of development.Black money is the most popular in india from pune to manger in any office/organization but why so.For example in house one father, mother they have son, daughter father is employ he earn lot of money from poor and rich peoples in the range of black money rather than his monthly payment his son is so much lazy because he told we have lot of money i am the hero for that property. He was enjoy there is one luccha is borned in that family. But the father is degraded his son life.Look the person maximum earn in life must be limited and his son also wiil be improved himself there is chain reaction. If he has lot of money as per the indian government rules he must be payed tax to the govt but this process is not yet in india..........""LAST AND FINAL WARNING TO ALL POLITICIANS,BUSINESSMAGNETS AND WHO ARE NOT PAYED TO THE GOVERNMENT TAX YOU MUST AND SHOULD CHANGE YOURSELF THEN INDIA WILL BE DEVELOPED".................

CORRUPTION OF MLA AND MLC

MLA and MLC get funds each year to spend for benefit of their constituency. In mumbai these funds are available at 30 to 40 %. Poor tenants of dilapidated structures get these funds for repair of their buildings. They have to pay to the MLA/MLC 30 to 40 percent of amount they want. This practice is very common since years in Mumbai. During election times these people then advertise in newspapers that they gave so much amount for repairs of dilapidated buildings.

India's parliamentary structure needs revision

The original writers of the constitution might not have overseen the situation that the country is in today. I think the constitution needs revision to meet the demands of today's India.

King of Corruption(1)

Congress has been sucking Indian blood for more than 60 years.Innocent people don't like to believe in facts, but in ads and textbooks;facts they are made to believe.Believe it or not, the real heroes of India like Vivekanand,Bhagat Singh, Azaad, Bose are being ignored even today, coz of false, 'pseudo' freedom fighters like Gandhi, Nehru and their full family, except 2 or 3, like Rajiv Gandhi. We have Gandhi Jayanti,Children's day today, but no Azaad, Bhagat Singh's Jayanti.Currency notes is also captured by Gandhi, coz of this corrupt Congress! When will people understand the authenticity, and stop believing in text books?

From the last year itself, the price of petrol has gone from 44.72 to around 67 rupees/l. LPG, Diesel prices have also gone up. Taxes are being increased, some rules are so complex that a normal person cannot survive in business. From top to bottom, everyone wants bribe, then also, a business matter will keep waiting for >2 years. A case never gets solved in less than a year. The constitution itself is not India's own;it's a hybrid of other constitutions.Do u consider reservation as boon? It's also an evil, which is preventing really talented persons from reaching a job, coz of a less deserving SC/ST/OBC.India is getting more and more backward, and difficult to live in. Grow up! Don't vote for the corruptest party Congress in the next election!! PLEASE!!!

Is Anna Hazare full of B***shit ?

http://dare2provemewrong.blogspot.com/ I am an average 24year old working in TVS after finishing engineering in SRM; born and brought up Chennaite.I have never seen/experienced corruption of any form or type in my life. Am I alone? Why is this such a big deal? We all talk about it but I doubt anyone has any real experience of it. I think it is a bunch hogwash and rumors that we get all-worked-up about. I dare you to prove me wrong. Post a picture, video, comment on your experience (with details). Doesn't matter if it is a vendor asking Rs 2.00 extra for a drink at a roadside stall or police officer taking a bribe instead of a ticket. If you notice it, document it. Lets find out if we really need to waste our precious time with this crap...

Stop paying commission to Doctors in India- Patient awareness campaign

Do Not Get Sick In India Every doctor affiliated to a hospital in India must perform a certain number of surgeries and physicians must refer a certain number of patients for laboratory tests, x-rays and MRIs, endoscopies and ultrasound etcetera. If not they are removed from the hospital registries and premises. Treatment is given not according to the disease but according to the wealth of the patient. Most of these observations are either completely or partially true. Corruption has many names, and one of civil society isn't innocent either. Professionals and businessmen of various sorts indulge in unscrupulous practices. Someone recently had a chat with some doctors, surgeons and owners of nursing homes about the tricks of their trade. Here is what they said 1) 40-60% kickbacks for lab tests. When a doctor (whether family doctor / general physician, consultant or surgeon) prescribes tests: pathology, radiology, X-rays, MRIs etc, the laboratory conducting those tests gives commissions. In South and Central Mumbai: 40%. In the suburbs north of Bandra, a whopping 60 per cent! He probably earns a lot more in this way than the consulting fees that you pay. 2) 30-40% for referring to consultants, specialists & surgeons. When your friendly GP refers you to a specialist or surgeon, he gets 30-40%. 3) 30-40% of total hospital charges. If the GP or consultant recommends hospitalization, he will receive kickback from the private nursing home as a percentage of all charges including ICU, bed, nursing care, surgery. 4) Sink tests. Some tests prescribed by doctors are not needed. They are there to inflate bills and commissions. The pathology lab understands what is unnecessary. These are called "sink tests"; blood, urine, stool samples collected are sunk (flushed down the drain). 5) Admitting the patient to "keep him under observation".People go to cardiologists feeling unwell and anxious. Most of them aren't really having a heart attack, and cardiologists and family doctors are well aware of this. They admit such safe patients, put them on a saline drip with mild sedation, and send them home after 3-4 days after charging them a fat amount for ICU, bed charges, visiting doctors fees. 6) ICU minus intensive care. Nursing homes all over the suburbs are run by doctor couples or as one-man-shows. In such places, nurses and ward boys are 10th class drop-outs in ill-fitting uniforms and bare feet. These "nurses" sit at the reception counter, give injections and saline drips, perform ECGs, apply dressings and change bandages, and assist in the operation theatre. At night, they even sit outside the Intensive Care Units; there is no resident doctor. In case of a crisis, the doctor ,who usually lives in the same building will turn up after 20 minutes, after the nurse calls him. Such ICUs admit safe patients to fill up beds. Genuine patients who require emergency care are sent elsewhere to hospitals having a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) round-the-clock. 7) Unnecessary caesarian surgeries and hysterectomies. Many surgical procedures are done to keep the cash register ringing. Caesarian deliveries and hysterectomy (removal of uterus) are high on the list. While the woman with labour -pains is screaming and panicking, the obstetrician who gently suggests that caesarian is best seems like an angel sent by God! Menopausal women experience bodily changes that make them nervous and gullible. They can be frightened by words like"cysts" and "fibroids" that are in almost every normal woman's radiology reports. When a gynaecologist gently suggests womb removal "as a precaution", most women and their husbands agree without a second's thought. 8) Cosmetic surgery advertized through newspapers. Liposuction and plastic surgery are not minor procedures. Some are life-threateningly major. But advertisements make them appear as easy as facials and waxing. The Indian medical council has strict rules against such misrepresentation. But nobody is interested in taking action. 9) Indirect kickbacks from doctors to prestigious hospitals. To be on the panel of a prestigious hospital, there is give-and-take involved. The hospital expects the doctor to refer many patients for hospital admission. If he fails to send a certain number of patients, he is quietly dumped, and so he likes to admit patients even when there is no need. 10) "Emergency surgery" on dead body. If a surgeon hurriedly wheels your patient from the Intensive Care Unit to the operation theatre, refuses to let you go inside and see him, and wants your signature on the consent form for "an emergency operation to save his life", it is likely that your patient is already dead. The "emergency operation" is for inflating the bill; if you agree for it, the surgeon will come out 15 minutes later and report that your patient died on the operation table. And then, when you take delivery of the dead body, you will pay OT charges, anaesthesiologist's charges, blah-blah- Doctors are humans too. You can't trust them blindly. Please understand the difference. Young surgeons and old ones. The young ones who are setting up nursing home etc. have heavy loans to settle. To pay back the loan, they have to perform as many operations as possible. Also, to build a reputation, they have to perform a large number of operations and develop their skills. So, at first, every case seems fit for cutting. But with age, experience and prosperity, many surgeons lose their taste for cutting, and stop recommending operations. Physicians and surgeons. To a man with a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. Surgeons like to olve medical problems by cutting, just as physicians first seek solutions with drugs. So, if you take your medical problem to a surgeon first, the chances are that you will unnecessarily end up on the operation table. Instead, please go to an ordinary GP first.

FIIs play havoc every time govt mentions Mauritius NEW DELHI: There was a sense of déjà vu on Dalal Street on Monday. Any talk of revisiting the India-Mauritius double taxation avoidance treaty always spells trouble for the Indian stock market as foreign institutional investors resort to selling fearing that their free lunch is over. After all, under the present dispensation, they get away without paying capital gains tax in India as well as Mauritius. It's been the same for the past 10 years with little progress. Given that FIIs account for a large chunk of the Indian stock market wealth, their pressure always forces the government to make a quick retreat despite estimates suggesting that the treaty causes annual revenue loss of $100 million to $500 million. So what does the treaty offer? In the early eighties, Indian authorities signed the tax treaty with the island nation which stipulates that capital gains on Indian securities which a company based in Mauritius holds would be exempted from tax in India. Since Mauritius has no tax or negligible tax on such income, it virtually means that FIIs registered in Mauritius pay no tax. Mauritius says such treaties have helped it to develop a vibrant financial services industry and also helped India attract foreign investment. Now, the government wants capital gains tax at source, which will be in India. This led to panic on Dalal Street, and the sensex fell 600 points in intra-day trade before recovering. Though negotiations have been underway for a while, there has been no discussion since 2008 when talks broke down on the issue. Even the Indian government has been reluctant to push ahead though a free trade agreement was linked to the revision in the agreement. In any case, the fear of FIIs spoiling the sentiment in the capital markets would be weighing down on a government that is low on confidence and has not undertaken any significant reform moves in the last few months. The first instance of FII pressure showed in the summer of 2001 when, during the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) rule, the income tax department had issued notices to some FIIs sending jitters through the share market and pulling it down by more than 350 points. In those days a 350 point decline meant that the Sensex lost over 10%. Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha had to step in and the government was forced to issue a clarification to restore sanity in the financial markets. The tax department also issued statements to boost sentiment and allay any fears. A few years later, a draft circular issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes drove FIIs to sell. As a result, on May 22, 2006 the benchmark BSE Sensex fell 1,100 points – nearly 10% of the index -- resulting in suspension of trading following. Again, the then finance minister, P Chidambaram, had to step in to calm nerves. A little over a year later, FIIs did it again though this time it was not over a tax matter. On October 16, 2007, the Sensex saw one of its steepest fall of 1,744, around 9% of its then value, after the Securities & Exchange Board of India decided to put in place curbs on participatory notes, which are derivative instruments used by investors not allowed to trade directly in Indian markets. It was only a few days that the sentiment improved and that followed assurances from the government and Sebi. Again in 2010 the talk of revising the treaty surface and again the markets panicked as FIIs pulled out. Some tax officials say there is a reluctance on both sides to revise the tax treaty. More than 40% of foreign direct investment to India comes through the Mauritius route and the island nation. Similarly any talk of banning participatory notes (a derivative instrument) which some critics say is used for legitimising black money also revokes a similar response from the Indian stock market. But the intense pressure on the issue of black money has forced the government to review its tax treaties with several countries. Critics say that Indian authorities should insist on reviewing the treaty with Mauritius and plug the loopholes. Tax authorities said the department has informed the foreign ministry that they would like to hold talks with their counterparts in Mauritius on the issue but it was up to them to respond. "Nothing is final. It could take 3 year to 30 years for any discussion on the issue," one tax official, who did not wish to be identified, said.

Emerging Picture

With movements to fight corruption spearheaded by Annaji and Ramdevji, there is a clear picture emerging with regard to the support or non-support of the movement. Majority of the people support the movement to eradicate graft, corruption, and on the contrary there a significant number who don't support the movement. Some even call this movement politically motivated! How unfortunate. These people do not see the bigger picture of a corrupt free society. Thus, it is very clear that those in India who do not support the crusaders against corruption and black money are actually corrupted to the core.
